He was born in Dublin on February 2 1882. He wrote with very great imagery and vivid wording. He was really the first writer of is time to write like he did. All of his books won numerous awards for imagery and language usage. Joyce was easily one of the best writers ever.

Since Joyce was about six years old he was educated to become a writer at Belvedere College and the University of Dublin which he later graduates from. He was eldest of 10 children and was in a lower middle class family. He went to school because he wanted to be and engineer. But he would have numerous surgeries on his eyes because he had a disease. He would eventually end up going to two colleges Dublin University and Clogowes College. He went to college to study modern language and engineering. When he graduated he would move to Paris, France

When he arrived in Paris he would later start to study medicine as that’s what he was interested in doing as a profession. He did not get to study medicine for that long because he would have to eventually go back to Dublin in 1903 because of his moms illness which she would later die from. After his mom’s death he would move to Ireland and meet a girl named Nora Barnacle, he stayed in Ireland until 1904. In Ireland he started his writing career by publishing short stories which were featured in Irish Homestead magazine. In October of 1904 they left to move to Pula, Croatia.

In Pula, Croatia he got a job as a teacher at a unknown school. In April of 1905 they left to move to Trieste, Italy, they spoke Italian in there home. There he continued his writing career and started publishing in the local newspaper, and also made one play. There they had two kids Georgio and Lucia. As they had the best intentions of staying in Trieste they were forced to move because of the war, they later moved to Zurich which was there home for the remainder of the war. They had very little money and James had no office to write in, he often times wrote about what was going on around him that was how he wrote. When the war was over they left to go back to Paris where they would live the rest of their lives.

There in Paris he started writing the early chapters of the all-time top 10 books “Ulysses” when he did eventually finish the novel he did feel that he could ever get it published because he had no one to help him as he would usually just write by himself. He met a girl named Ezra Pound who started to market him 1916. But They still could not get it published because people called it obscene. In 1920 James met Sylvia Beach who was an American and who would also eventually publish the all time seller on his birthday February 2nd 1922. They would continue to publish the book until 1930. He then later found a guy named Paul Leon who was a Russian native. James would eventually marry Nora in 1931. Leon would also become his business advisor and would also help him in literary and legal affairs. James would eventually start using his apartment for his writing and studies. He would also eventually help Joyce publish yet another all time seller “Finnegans Wake” which appeared on the Fortnightly review it was published on May 4th 1939. It was also “the hook of the week” in the UK and USA. Joyce would eventually wind up writing 20 poems, short stories, novels, and plays. But as he was one of the greatest writers ever he was forced to stop because he fled Paris to get ahead of the Nazi invasion and would eventually die
On January 13th 1941.
